Step Into Black
Futures, Now
Black Genius Fest is free with registration. Join 500 families making history on February 28th.
Black Genius Fest is a homecoming—a return to Durham’s Parrish Street where Black Genius once built banks, culture, and futures. This one-day festival brings interactive exhibitions, live performances, wellness spaces, and immersive experiences for the whole community. Families create together. Artists find inspiration. Neighbors reconnect. Whether you’re bringing your kids, your crew, or just yourself, you belong.
Created by Village of Wisdom, Black Genius Fest is rooted in a truth we hold close: Black Genius is intrinsic, limitless, luminous, and full of possibility. On February 28th, that belief takes physical form. Past, present, and future co-exist, and joy is how we pass wisdom across generations. Come as you are. Leave rooted.
Educators. Artists. Inventors. Healers. Storytellers. Our 2026 architects are building experiences that celebrate Black Genius in all its forms.
