Charryse Fredrick

Charryse, a mother of three (Caleb, Khalil & Kaylani), protects and raises these Tanzanian-American geniuses with her partner for life, Feisal Omari, in a multicultural household. She grew up in Chapel Hill and Durham, and graduated from Riverside High in 1995. Charryse recently earned her Masters of Science degree in Instructional Design (2021), B.A. in English (2000), and was a North Carolina Teaching Fellows Award Recipient (1995). She has served as an educator in the Piedmont Region of North Carolina for 25 years. She believes in a holistic approach to education and training where educators seek to address students’ emotional, social, spiritual, ethical, physical, and intellectual needs in integrated learning environments that are both learner-centered and community-focused.

Upon graduation from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) in the year 2000, Charryse served as a Mental Health Technician (M.H.T.) for Children’s Comprehensive Services of Charlotte, teaching prosocial skills classes. Later, she served as a high school English teacher and an After School Program Director at Partnership Achieving Community Education (P.A.C.E) Academy in Carrboro, NC, while also serving as Interim Director of Programs for the Bouncing Bulldogs (www.bouncing bulldogs.org). Charryse briefly served as a Site Instructor for the 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) After School Program and Summer Camps at the T.A. Grady Recreation Center in McDougald Terrace, a Durham Housing Authority (DHA) Community.

In her role at the Augustine Literacy Project® of the Triangle (www.augustineproject.org), Charryse worked as an Administrative Assistant and Training Coordinator. She’s a leading voice for Jump Forward™, the new outreach initiative of the Bouncing Bulldogs Program, a part of the Fredrick family legacy. She is the lead consultant for RR Consultants in the State of NC, whose parent company, Rope Release, LLC (www.roperelease.com) is headquartered in New York. Additionally, she holds the position of Managing Partner at Rope Skillz, a new business startup. As an educational consultant, Charryse enjoys partnering with organizations to develop new training programs, providing strategies to better meet the needs of learners, improve collaboration, and expand outreach and enrichment opportunities to strengthen communities. Charryse understands “it takes a village”.
